*Covid-19 Policy for 2021
With ongoing uncertainty surrounding New Zealand events, NZIPP have decided to proceed with an approach to our Conference that hopes to deliver a successful event at either COVID Alert Level 1 or Alert Level 2.
Please take note of the following:
Should a government-forced lock-down in the Nelson region of Level 3-4 prevent our event from being held:
- NZIPP will move to an online conference within 3 months of the initial scheduled date. All conference tickets will be cancelled and new tickets will be available for purchase with in-person ticket holders given preference for purchase;
- The Iris Awards will be postponed until an in-person live judging event can happen.
- This may mean that only the event team and judges are present to work within government limits of gatherings;
- The Iris Awards may be held in a different region from the initial plan.
- The Iris Awards may or may not be held at the same time as the online conference.
Should a conference ticket-holder be a resident of a region/ country in lock-down that does not affect the region of the event, NZIPP will support the conference ticket-holder to provide the conference via online format, or refund the ticket.
In the event that the Nelson region is in Level 2, NZIPP will work to bring an event to conference ticket-holders that fits within the government guidelines. NZIPP will advise the conference ticket-holders of plans should this happen.
NZIPP accepts no responsibility for any costs incurred such as flights and/or accommodation by any party should a lock-down or Covid level-change happen. NZIPP will only be liable for the refund price of the two-day conference ticket.
NZIPP shall not be liable for quarantine costs associated with a level change/ border closure or change to travel requirements.
