Capturing a great cityscape is one thing. Knowing what to actually do with the RAW file afterwards is where most images either come to life as a “wow”, or sadly end up in the bin.
In this 2.5-hour masterclass, Paul will walk you through his full cityscape editing process in Capture One from first import to a finished image that’s ready for printing at scale. This is a complete, interactive, run-through of his own workflow, not a watered-down version of it just for show.
Covering colour grading, tonal control, handling the chaos of mixed artificial light sources at night, highlight enhancement, shadow recovery, and the steps that turn a technically correct file into something that looks the way the scene actually felt at the time.
Capped at 30 people, there will be plenty of time for questions and to talk through your own images and challenges too.
If you want to follow along, feel free to bring a laptop with Capture One installed (free 30 day trial is available) and a couple of your own cityscape RAW files. We’ll be working through real images throughout, so you’ll be able to try out certain techniques on your own shots along the way.
